Please note that selected mpox guidance documents are currently **UNDER REVIEW**. This is due to the evolving situation following the WHO declaration of Clade I Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on August 14th 2024.

Interim Guidance for the Public Health Management of Cases and Contacts of mpox – Chapter 3 (Clade II Cases and their Contacts) has been subsumed into Chapter 2 Interim Guidance for the Public Health Management of Cases and Contacts of mpox – (Clade I & II cases and their contacts). All relevant information related to Clade II can be found under the updated chapter 2.

This Mpox Healthcare Risk Assessment Tool is optimised for use with Microsoft Excel version 2509 or later. Some dropdown menus, automated risk categorisation, and embedded guidance features may not function correctly in earlier versions or alternative spreadsheet software. To ensure full functionality and accurate assessment outputs, please use Microsoft Excel version 2509 or newer. If the automated features do not work as intended, users may refer to the Chapter 4 risk assessment matrix, which is aligned with the WHO Healthcare Worker (HCW) exposure assessment tool. This Excel tool integrates both approaches to support consistent and evidence-based risk stratification.
